Beaches to Farms: A Winery Experience Tour

Montauk & Eastern Long Island Bike Tour

Hudson Valley Bike Overnight Tour

About Our Tours

Length

Our overnight tours all take place over weekends with a Saturday night stay and bike riding on both Saturday and Sunday. Our Hudson Valley Bike tour is a 3-day tour with overnight stays on Saturday and Sunday and the last day of riding on Monday.  Because of this, we always offer the Hudson Valley Bike tour on Labor Day weekend.

Launch Point

All  tours begin at train or ferry stations outside of NYC. Every ride is designed to allow you to use train or ferry service to get to a ride from Manhattan. It is also possible to drive to a ride’s starting point, but you must contact us to arrange this.

For all rides, our team will meet you at the arrival station for the train or ferry, and the ride will begin at that station. For certain rides, someone from our team may also meet you on the train.

We’re Here to Help

When our team meets you on the day of the ride, you will be given all the information you need to travel that day’s route and you will have the opportunity to have any last-minute questions answered. We will also have a cooler with drinks available as well as a variety of snacks to get you started on your day. These drinks and snacks will be available from the support vehicle throughout the tour.

Scheduling Conflicts / Want Privacy?

Ask us about running any of our tours as a private event for you and your friends and/or family.

Shlepping Supplies

We will carry all of your camping gear (and any other gear/supplies you may have, but don’t want to carry) in our van so it will be waiting for you at the end of each day’s ride. You will have an opportunity to drop off your gear at our at our offices near Grand Central or in White Plains the week before the ride so that you do not have to bring it with you on the train along with your bike. Gear pickup can be scheduled at your home the Thursday evening before the trip for an additional $40 (service is subject to cancellation, we require a minimum of two scheduled pickup locations to offer this service).

What to Expect

Itinerary

Each day’s itinerary is thoughtfully designed to provide a moderate amount of riding with extra time built in to explore the attractions you will pass along the way. For some tours, you can choose rides of different length each day to customize your experience.

Dinner

Each day ends at a campground where we will provide you with dinner. Much of the food we serve is locally sourced and farm fresh! We plan each dinner based on preferences we receive from each rider on the tour. So if you are vegan, vegetarian, lactose-intolerant, you don’t eat pork, etc., we can set up the meals to accommodate you without any concern. We can also set up the meals to accommodate any food allergies you may have.

Camping

We can also help you with the basics of camping if this is something that is new to you. We also offer “glamping” packages and rental camping equipment. The glamping packages include full set-up and breakdown of the tent and air mattress so that you don’t have to do it.   We select campgrounds with modern conveniences and amenities (full restrooms, hot showers, etc.) that are near attractions and services in case you want to explore the local area after you arrive, or go to local businesses.

Breakfast & Exploring

After sleeping at the campground, we will provide you with a hearty breakfast before you head out for another day of riding and enjoying the scenery. Again, we will plan the breakfast with all food preferences taken into account.

The Return

All rides always end at a commuter rail station to get you home. No car required!

Cancellation Policy

The cancellation policy varies for each tour. Please go to our cancellation policy page for more information.

Our Peace of Mind Guarantee

We know that bicycle touring can be intimidating, especially if it’s your first time. That is why these rides are entirely supported by our team. If your bike breaks down, call us and we’ll come fix it. If you can’t make it that last mile, call us and we’ll pick you up and drive you the rest of the way.

And if you find that you absolutely cannot stand bike touring and camping, just tell us. Our trips are designed with the ability to take any of our participants to a train or bus station for a return trip home at any point during the tour.

We are the only bicycle tour operators in the industry to offer this “panic button” feature. You always have the ability to end your tour if you decide that bike touring is not for you. We will also reunite you with your bike and/or gear during the week following the tour if you cannot get all of your stuff home that day.
